Their voices continued rising, each argument more hurtful than the last. The boy stopped kicking entirely, staring wide-eyed at the two adults arguing loudly over his bad behavior.
Flight attendants hurried over to their row to calm the situation. “Please, both of you, lower your voices,” one attendant said gently. “You’re disturbing all the other passengers.” But Carl didn’t care about making a scene anymore. “This isn’t just about noise! It’s about respect, which this woman clearly doesn’t care about!” he yelled, his voice echoing through the cabin.
