Nathan’s pulse thundered in his ears as he cycled through the security camera feeds one after another. A strange, muffled noise kept growing louder and louder, echoing from some hidden corner of the hospital morgue. His hands trembled uncontrollably with every click of the mouse, scanning each frame frantically, begging to find any shred of proof that he wasn’t just losing his mind to sheer exhaustion.
Then it happened. On one of the dim monitor screens, a faint shift of movement caught his eye. The massive, heavy morgue door creaked sharply, gliding open all on its own, moving slowly but steadily inch by inch. Nathan’s breath caught sharply in his throat, his eyes blowing wide with shock. What on earth is going on here? he thought to himself, his mind reeling. And what he witnessed unfold next turned his blood ice cold with terror.
