
Then the familiar clattering sound echoed out again. Nathan’s heart raced wildly as he scanned every camera frame desperately. The noise grew louder and louder, coming straight from somewhere deep inside the morgue. Please let the cameras catch something, Nathan begged silently. His fingers shook violently as he clicked through each camera feed, desperate for any sign, any proof that he wasn’t imagining everything.
And then, on one of the monitor screens, he saw it—the morgue storage cabinet slowly creaking open on its own. The heavy metal door moved inch by inch, scraping loudly as it went. Nathan’s breath hitched hard. What the hell is this? he thought, his eyes wide with terror. What he saw next left him frozen in absolute horror.
