4 DIY Pain Relief Oils You Can Make at Home

adminadmin03/22/2026 860 Minutes read0

Ashwagandha is one of Ayurveda’s most celebrated herbs, often linked to stress relief, recovery, and helping the body feel more balanced overall. That makes it an excellent choice for massage oils — especially when your soreness is tied not just to physical strain but also to fatigue, stress, or that “everything feels tight” kind of discomfort.

For a simple homemade version, use 2 teaspoons of ashwagandha powder, 4 teaspoons of sesame oil, and 3 to 4 drops of lavender essential oil. Lightly warm the sesame oil, stir in the ashwagandha powder, and add the lavender once the mixture has cooled a bit. Sesame oil works beautifully as a base because it has a naturally warm, massage-friendly texture, while lavender contributes a calming scent that makes the entire ritual feel more restorative. This oil is especially effective at night, after a long day, or before bed — perfect for when your shoulders, neck, or legs feel overworked.

It’s less about instant intensity and more about creating a soothing routine that your body responds to over time.
