4 DIY Pain Relief Oils You Can Make at Home

adminadmin03/22/2026 840 Minutes read0

Dashmool oil has deep roots in traditional Ayurvedic practice and is frequently used in massage to address stiffness, body soreness, and that heavy, drained feeling that settles into muscles after long days or poor posture. The herb blend is known for its grounding and calming effects on the body, which makes it a natural choice for a homemade massage oil.

For an easy, beginner-friendly version, mix 2 teaspoons of dashmool powder, 4 teaspoons of coconut oil, and 2 to 3 drops of peppermint essential oil. Gently warm the coconut oil, stir in the dashmool powder, and let the mixture sit for a few minutes before adding the peppermint oil. Once it’s cool enough to apply, massage a small amount into your tightest areas. Coconut oil provides a smooth, skin-friendly base, while peppermint offers that familiar cooling sensation that many people find temporarily relieving.

Be aware that peppermint oil can irritate sensitive skin if you use too much — a little goes a long way. This blend works best when used slowly and consistently rather than all at once.
