4 DIY Pain Relief Oils You Can Make at Home

adminadmin03/22/2026 830 Minutes read0

Ajwain, also known as carom seeds, is a common kitchen spice that quietly delivers more benefits than most people expect. While it’s well known in traditional home remedies for digestive issues, it also appears in body care for its warming and comforting properties — especially in homemade oil blends meant to ease stiffness and general aches.

To prepare a simple version at home, combine 2 teaspoons of ajwain seeds or powder, 4 teaspoons of mustard oil, and 3 to 4 drops of eucalyptus oil. Warm the mustard oil gently, then stir in the ajwain and eucalyptus once the oil has cooled slightly. Massage the blend into sore muscles, the lower back, or other areas that feel tight. This oil is especially pleasant in cooler weather, when the body tends to feel stiffer and less relaxed. Mustard oil adds warmth, while eucalyptus brings a cooling, refreshing touch that makes the oil feel more soothing upon contact.

As with any essential oil blend, do a patch test first and avoid applying it to irritated or freshly shaved skin.
